Bangalore, April4 (IANS) Karnataka's B.R. Nikshep, ranked No.1 in the under-14 boys singles in Asia and as well as in the country, has been selected for the Indian boys under-14 team for the World junior tennis championships (Asia Oceania Zone) scheduled at Kuching, Malaysia, April 28-May 6.
The other members of the team, which was announced by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) are: Alex Solanki (Delhi) and Aryan Goveas (Maharashtra). Sunil Yajaman of Karnataka has been named the non-playing captain and manager.
The top four teams from the Asia Oceania Zone tournament will qualify for the World Junior finals scheduled to be held at Prostejov in the Czech Republic in the first week of August. India finished third in the last year's World Junior finals.
