Mumbai, April 3 (IANS) Barbie Apparel Tuesday announced the launch its first couture party collection for girls aged 2-12 years in India. The line includes summer fashion staples as well as party wear.
The couture collection is in line with global fashion trends and has been designed by an in-house design team here in partnership with the international design team in the US.
'We are very excited about the launch of our first couture party wear collection. With this high quality and extremely trendy collection we want to set a new standard in girl's fashion. We are confident both young girls and parents will be extremely pleased,' said Ashwin Shetty, CEO of Shirt Company India Ltd, the official licensee for Barbie Apparel in India.
The couture collection is designed keeping in mind the fashion needs of young girls.
New styles, silhouettes, eco and skin friendly novelty fabrics and accessories form the core of the colourful collection.
'We launch seven unique styles every week. Our team of designers closely follows international fashion and is responsible for bringing in the latest international girl's fashion trends to India,' said Shefali Sakhalkar Jani, design and development manager for Barbie India Apparel.
The collection is currently available in 10 exclusive Barbie stores and 500 leading retail stores across the country.
