New York, Apr 3 (ANI): Alex Rodriguez arranged a catered barbecue bash at his brand-new beach mansion in Miami for his New York Yankees teammates.
His state-of-the-art new Florida home played host to Derek Jeter, Nick Swisher, CC Sabathia, Russell Martin and former fan favourite Tino Martinez among others, the New York Post reported.
However, there was no sign of Joba Chamberlain, who recently suffered a serious ankle injury while playing with his 5-year-old son.
According to reports, the brunch was a "low-key get-together," with no wives or girlfriends, and the group enjoyed a healthy poolside barbecue.
Some of the players stepped inside the batting cage Rodriguez had specially built inside his home to practice their hitting, while others were given a guided tour of the waterfront multi-million dollar pad, which he entirely rebuilt, and which features minimal-designed interiors and top electronics.
