New Delhi, Apr.1 (ANI): Former Union minister and ex-Board of Control for Cricket in India president N.K.P. Salve died this morning at a private hospital here due to age-related problems, family sources said.
Salve was 90. He is survived by son Harish Salve, an advocate, and daughter Arundhati. His wife had predeceased him some time back.
He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago, where he passed away, the family said.
Born in Chhinwada, Madhya Pradesh, Salve was associated with cricket administration for several years.
The Challenger Trophy was named after him.
He also served as Union Cabinet Minister of several ministries.
His last rites will be performed in Nagpur on Monday. (ANI)
