Sydney, Apr 1 (ANI): A 24-year-old Indian man has reportedly been extradited to the Australian city of Sydney to face allegations that he planned to murder a woman who endured a string of attacks over a two-year period.

The man, who reached Australia on Sunday, was taken to the Sydney Police Centre where he was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.

According to news.com.au, the police alleged the man was involved in a number of incidents involving a 27-year-old woman during a two-year period.

In one incident, the woman's skull was fractured after she was allegedly hit with a hammer in January last year.

The extradition followed the issue of an arrest warrant in January 2011. (ANI)
