Abu Dhabi, March 31 (IANS/WAM) The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent five tonnes of dates to India as part of an aid programme for needy people.
Foundation director general Mohammed Haji Al Khouri said the aid was aimed at alleviating the hardship of poor people.
During the past two years, the foundation has sent more than 300 tonnes of dates to 18 "brotherly and friendly" countries.
