Film: 'Govindaaya Namaha'; Cast: Komal, Rekha, Parul, Anna (Georgia), Madhulika, Harish Raj, Tabala Naani, Vinayak Joshi, Umesh, Mukyamanthri Chandru and others; Producer: Suresh; Screenplay-Direction: Pawan Wodeyar; Camera: Suresh Babu; Music: Guru Kiran; Rating: ***1/2

'Govindaaya Namaha' directed by debutant Pawan Wodeyar is an engaging and entertaining film, and it lives up to the hype created before the release.

The 'Pyaar Ge Aagbittaithe', which was released on YouTube, turned out to be a raging hit and got million hits within a few weeks. All this created a positive hype for the film.

Thankfully, the film, despite its overt sex-laced dialogues, is presented in an interesting fashion. It is the strength of the script which holds the interest of the viewers as much as the composition and picturisation of the songs.

Music director Guru Kiran's song compositions and background score are impressive.

Dialogues are the strength as well as weak point of the film. There are many sharp dialogues that make you laugh instantly, but some are not for the family audience.

The debutant director shows flashes of brilliance through his writing and directorial abilities. The film drags post-interval, but later comes back on track to charm the viewers.

Unnecessary fights could have been avoided.

The performance of lead artists Komal and Parul is another highlight of the film.

Komal's dialogue delivery and comic timing are superb. Parul too shines in her first film. Rekha has opted for a negative role and she is no match for Parul's histrionics. The less said about Madhulika the better.

Harish Raj and Vinayak Joshi are impressive while Chandru and Daththanna have little scope to perform.

The music is the best part of the film. Camera work could have been slightly better. Except for the songs, the film's camera work looks just average.

'Govindaaya Namaha' is an entertainer which should be watched for its entertaining values and it carries the message about futility of committing suicide.
