Bangalore, Mar.30 (ANI): Former Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yeddyurappa hosted a breakfast meeting for state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators at his residence here on Friday.
The meeting assumes significance in the wake of Yeddyurappa raising the level of dissidence against the BJP central leadership by shifted legislators to a resort on March 18 in a show of strength.
He has been demanding that he be reinstated as Karnataka chief minister.
The dissident activity rocked the ruling BJP in Karnataka earlier this month and only came to a halt after BJP President Nitin Gadkari asked the Yeddyurappa faction and the faction supporting incumbent Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda to concentrate on the budget session.
Central leaders of the BJP have issued gag orders on both factions.
The Yeddyurappa camp, however, hopes that the BJP central leadership will take a decision to reappoint Yeddyurappa as chief minister by the first week of April. (ANI)
