Lucknow, March 29 (IANS) Favourite officials of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati were Thursday shunted out to posts that do not carry clout.
Kunwar Fateh Bahadur Singh, who was principal secretary (Home), has been made principal secretary (Religious Works).
The new post carries minimal perks and negligible supporting staff.
Mohinder Singh, the all-powerful bureaucrat in the Mayawati regime who held the post of Chairman and CEO of the Noida and Greater Noida Authority for over three years, too has been moved to a lesser known post.
Similarly, Navneet Sehgal has been shifted as Member (Judicial) of the Revenue Board, Allahabad.
The other secretary level officials put on the waiting list since the new government headed by Akhilesh Yadav was sworn in have also got what are known as 'bad' postings.
Netram, another favoured official of Mayawati, is now principal secretary, Rashtriya Ekikaran Vibhag.
Chandrabhanu, who remained the Lucknow district magistrate for a long time, has been sent to the Citizen Security and Political Pension department as secretary.
