Invesco plans to expand operations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 26 (IANS) Invesco Ltd., a global asset management company, plans to expand its operations in Hyderabad, where it has the largest global centre outside its head office in Atlanta.

The firm plans to take on lease another 100,000 square feet facility. It is considering areas like Madhapur, Gachibowli, Shamshabad and Uppal for locating its new facility.

A delegation of Invesco led by its Chief Technology Officer Gary Didier called on Andhra Pradesh's information technology minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Monday and discussed their expansion plans.

"Our Hyderabad enterprise support center perfectly complements our global operations. It enables us to operate more efficiently and effectively, and is a critical part of our ability to deliver high-quality service to our clients," a statement from the information technology department quoted Didier as saying.

The discussion included how centers based in different geographies such as India and Canada can collaborate as part of the global network to create significant value for customers.

The minister explained infrastructural advantages of Hyderabad and invited the Invesco team for the Advantage AP Global IT Summit to be held in Hyderabad on June 21-22.

Two years ago Invesco started 100,000 sft facility in the Divya Sree Orion SEZ in Gachibowli.
