Dehradun, Mar.25 (ANI): At least four labourers were killed and 16 others were injured after an under contruction bridge over the Alaknanda River collapsed in Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal District on Sunday morning.
The bridge reportedly collapsed while concrete was being poured into its steel frame.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Pauri Garhwal District Magistrate M.Upreti said it was not immediately known what had led to the collapse of the bridge.
Upreti said the dead bodies have been retrieved and are being identified. (ANI)
