Katy Perry tapes down boobs to transform into tough marine in new video

London, Mar 23 (ANI): Katy Perry has undergone major transformation for her video 'Part of Me' which is the lead single of her 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection'.

In her latest video, which is to accompany her new single the 'Firework' hitmaker is seen furiously hacking off her hair.

In Ben Mor directed video, the Pop star sports a dramatically different haircut and is also seen taping down her breasts and putting on a hooded jumper after deciding to join the marines following an emotional break-up from a boyfriend.

The video, which has a starkly aggressive tone, tells the story of a small town girl who gets her heart broken and channels her pain into tough physical training in the military.

The 27-year-old is brunette in this video, but her protagonist hacks off her raven locks after seeing the object of her affections flirting with a colleague at work.

From then on in, it's gritted perfect white teeth interspersed with an oddly jolly dance that's spliced in between muddy, combat sequences.

"Well, I think that everybody can see that I love to take chances with my videos, and also have a lot of fun," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling MTV news.

"It's an affirmation of strength, so I wanted to go the strongest route I ever could.

"Literally, I was like, "I'm gonna join the service. I'm gonna join the Marines"We used only Marines. ... For three days, I was a wannabe Marine, which was so difficult," she added.

The video was shot over several days in February at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base in Oceanside, California.

Perry threw herself into the boot camp: "Those people work hard and work out.

"I learned how to flip someone. I learned how to flip them on their back. I learned how to wrestle underwater,' she said.

"I just love it and I think people really respond to it.

"People can catch the BS ... and I just wanted to really go for it," she added. (ANI)
