London, March 23 (IANS) Britain will bask under blue skies at 21 degrees Celsius early this weekend - among the warmest temperatures recorded at this time of the year.
The temperature hit 20.1 degrees Celsius in Otterbourne, Hants, Thursday, the warmest March 22 since records began, The Telegraph reported.
Forecasters said Friday widespread sunshine throughout the weekend meant the temperatures will remain high.
Paul Michaelwhite, a forecaster at Netweather, said: "Is it really March? 21C is possible on Friday and that's very impressive considering average March highs are just 9C."
