Kolkata, March 23 (IANS) Prayag United will kick-start the I-League campaign after almost a month's break when they host Mumbai FC at the Yuba Bharati Krinangan Saturday looking to avenge their 1-3 defeat suffered earlier in the season.
Prayag United are on 32 points from 20 games and sit seventh in the table while Mumbai FC are on 17 points from 20 matches. Prayag United Coach Sanjoy Sen insisted Mumbai are a tough nut to crack.
"Mumbai FC are an unpredictable team. They have come up with some good victories in the I-League and have suffered defeats at the same time. There is no way we can predict a result but from our point of view, we are well prepared."
For Prayag, Brazilian striker Joshimar and Kayne Vincent have been sidelined with injury. Add to that both Deepak Mondol and Arnab Mondal are also doubtful for the game.
Meanwhile, Mumbai FC have travelled to Kolkata with their full-strength squad and had a light practice session Friday.
"We may have lost to Mumbai FC in the I-League but we beat them in the IFA Shield. We are confident of a good result. A victory here would put us back in the title race as there is not much to choose from between the sides. There is only 5 points between us and the 2nd placed team at the moment. Anything can happen," the Prayag coach added.
