London, Mar 20 (ANI): Chinese side Guizhou Renhe has confirmed that they want to sign Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard at the end of the season.
The Super League outfit is reportedly prepared to offer the duo 250,000 pound-a-week each to make the move from the UK Premier League.
Guizhou chairman Wang Guolin said: "I want the best team in China and we are prepared to invest a lot of money to bring Ferdinand and Lampard to us. Many people here watch the Premier League and know how good the two players are."
Chinese big guns Shanghai Shenhua also want Lampard and are ready to make Jose Mourinho an astonishing offer, according to The Sun.
The Real Madrid boss has been promised 300,000 pound-a-week to take over. But he is expected to snub the approach to stay in Europe.
Super-agent Pini Zahavi, who is Ferdinand's agent, is masterminding many of the new deals in China.
Zahavi said: "When the Chinese want to achieve something they do it. Football has become a big business for them now and they want to bring in the best players and managers." (ANI)
