Gulmarg, Mar 17 (ANI): Prolonged snowfall has added to the beauty of picturesque locales in the Kashmir Valley, as scores of tourists have been lured from across the country and abroad one reveling in sledge rides at ske resorts in Gulmarg.
"Gulmarg is a great place. It is just like heaven. I have come here for the first time and I feel that whoever does not come here will miss out on something. It is a 'must' to come here. Sledge rides were great fun, we really enjoyed a lot," said Satish Kumar, a tourist.
Gulmarg, at present, provides a picture postcard look with snow-capped mountains, lush beautiful valleys and miniature cottages, which attract most people to this place.
The young tourists were excited to see Gulmarg at its best.
"It was a good experience. We are really enjoying; it is really good here. I think it was a good experience," said Monica Dogra, another tourist.
Jammu and Kashmir is a well known tourist destination for winter activities such as snow boarding, skating, sledge rides, gondola jaunts, cable car rides and snow skiing making tourism one of the mainstays of the state's economy. (ANI)
