London, Mar 16 (ANI): Big earning footballers always want the biggest and the best when it comes to cars and houses, and image gurus are there to help these stars out, even though it might be heavy on their pockets.
They are the experts who make the luxury lifestyles of the nation's top footballers possible even though it might be bankrupting them.
According to previous reports, a soaring number of players risk going bust thanks to their love of spending, despite taking home around 1.47 million pounds a year.
Whether it's cool cars or the latest clothes, the big earning stars always want the biggest and the best.
Top footballers love their motors, and when they want a car with a difference, they turn to Yianni Charalambous.
He's built a business out of customising their rides, turning already expensive sets of wheels into something unique.
The 35-year-old has over 100 footballers on his books including Arsenal's Theo Walcott, 22, Manchester City's Kolo Toure, 30, and veteran Senegalese star El- Hadji Diouf, 31, who is now at Doncaster Rovers.
His firm's services include adding new colours with special vinyl wraps to tinting windows, putting a footballer's initials into the upholstery and installing personalised gadgets.
"They all love a car. But while they might want a Range Rover, they don't want a Range Rover that looks like every other one on the road," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
"Three Premier League players recently spent 30 to 40,000 pounds each to give their cars new bodykits.
"I have footballers who come to me two to three times a year to change the look of their cars," he said
Charalambous, based in Enfield, north London, is on hand to help with unusual requests.
"We had to build a fridge in the back of West Ham player John Carew's new motor. We also put custom child's seats, complete with built-in speakers, in Fulham player Andrew Johnson's car," he said.
He also turned a grey VW Touareg a bright shade of orange for Walcott, to give it as gift to his mum.
The business began after Charalambous struck up a friendship with Bacary Sagna, 29, and helped him with his car.
Before long Sagna's Arsenal team-mates wanted their cars souped up and Charalambous realised he was on a winner.
"Despite what people think footballers are not idiots. They know that changing the look of their car is cheaper than getting a new one," he added. (ANI)
