Injured Woods says he will be fit for Augusta Masters

London, Wed, 14 Mar 2012 ANI

London, Mar.14 (ANI): Former World Number One golfer Tiger Woods has insisted that he will be fit to compete at the Augusta Masters

The Daily Express said that Woods is suffering from a Achilles tendon injury which forced him to withdraw from the Cadillac Championship on Sunday.

He described the injury as being only a "mild strain".

Woods, who limped away after 12 holes at Doral, may even be fit to play at Bay Hill next week in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

He tweeted: "Got good news from doc tonight. Only mild strain of left Achilles. Can resume hitting balls late in week and hopeful for next week." (ANI)
