London, Mar 13 (ANI): A petition has been filed in the Pakistan Supreme Court to impose restrictions on soon to-be retired Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt General Ahmed Shuja Pasha from leaving Pakistan, and put his name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Advocate Tariq Asad in his petition argued that Pasha was responsible for over 3000 missing people in the country, The Dawn reports.
Pasha is scheduled to retire on March 18.
The petition further said once Pasha retires, his presence could help in the investigation of the missing persons' case.
The federation had also been made party in the application through Secretary Defence.
Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam was appointed the new ISI chief earlier this month, ending months of speculation about a third extension for Pasha.
Fifty-six-year-old Islam, currently the military commander in Karachi, is considered close to army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. He served as Deputy ISI Director from 2008 to 2010. (ANI)
