London, Mar 11(ANI): England fast bowler Tim Bresnan could be on his way to break the world record of playing the maximum Test matches without losing any of them.
He has currently played ten unbeaten Test matches for England. Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist holds the current world record with 15 consecutive wins in Test matches.
However, Bresnan is concentrating more on making a successful comeback against Sri Lanka in their first Test match.
An injured Bresnan flew home before England's Test series against Pakistan in Dubai, but will head to Sri Lanka on Sunday morning.
He is keen to help England get back to their winning ways after a 3-0 whitewash in the UAE against Pakistan.
"It is difficult going to the sub-continent no matter who you are playing. We've still got a lot to learn and a lot of improvements to make," The Mirror quoted Bresnan as saying.
The all rounder played a vital role in England's stunning Ashes triumph Down Under, and averaged 16 with the ball and 77 with the bat as Strauss' men whacked India 4-0 on home soil last summer.
"It's incredibly difficult to win Test matches, a lot of hard work goes into a winning a session let alone a match so to win my first 10 is pretty astounding. It will be hard work in the climate for the pace attack in Sri Lanka, but the guys are bowling well - Stuey Broad and Jimmy Anderson had amazing tours of the UAE," he added. (ANI)
