Bhopal/Indore, Mar.9 (ANI): A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Friday permitted the investigating agency to carry out a lie detector test on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmaker Dhruv Narayan Singh in connection with the murder of Right to Information (RTI) activist Shehla Masood.
Singh was earlier interrogated thrice by the CBI. Three other accused in the case have given their permission to undergo the lie detector test.
A fourth accused and the contract killer involved Irfan has been sent to police custody in Indore till March 16.
Irfan was escorted by the CBI team from Kanpur under tight security last night.
Irfan was arrested by Uttar Pradesh Police from Talaq Mahal locality here on February 27.
Masood was shot dead outside her house in Bhopal's Koh-e-Fiza locality on August 16, 2011 allegedly at the behest of Zahida Pervez, an interior designer. (ANI)
