Janet Jackson says no to X- factor

London, Mar 4 (ANI): Janet Jackson has declined to take up the role of a judge on the US version of X-Factor.

Jackson was said to be stepping in after Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger left the show but a spokesperson said she had too many commitments, including a film role, the Daily Star reported.

Jackson, who is said to be "very flattered" by the offer, is busy with preparations for her next 'Number Ones Up Close and Personal Tour' as well as role in a Tyler Perry movie.

During a press call last week, Simon Cowell said he would be taking meetings during the next few weeks with those who have expressed interest in the positions formerly held by Abdul and Scherzinger. (ANI)
