London, Mar 4 (ANI): Equestrian Charlotte Casiraghi, who wore exclusively designed riding gear by Gucci for two years in competitions, including the 2011 Global Champions tour, has become the new face of the brand.
Creative director Frida Giannini created the clothes solely for Casiraghi, the 25-year-old granddaughter of Princess Grace of Monaco, and never made them available for retail, the Daily Mail reported.
Giannini has since realised the full potential of her muse's selling power.
Casiraghi, who is also the Honorary President of the Jumping International de Monte-Carlo, has been a fixture on the fashion scene for some time.
She featured on the cover of Vogue Paris in September 2011 and she's frequently seen on the front rows of major shows, including Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg, Etam and Yves Saint Laurent.
Despite claiming to be a private person, she's bound to have picked up some tips from her mother, Caroline, and her grandmother, who both modelled for style press in their heyday.
At the time of the initial collaboration, Giannini told Vogue that Casiraghi was one of her top 15 personal fashion icons.
"She is the modern royal whose effortless elegance defies contemporary style," Giannini said of the young woman who is fourth in line to the throne of the principality
Casiraghi replaces 'True Blood' actress Evan Rachel Wood for the fashion house. (ANI)
