Haddin has one SCG game, tour match to convince Oz selectors he should play Tests in Windies

Sydney, Mar.2 (ANI): Out of former veteran Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin may have been selected in the Australian one-day squad that will tour the West Indies during this month, but is now left with only one first class fixture at the Sydney Cricket Ground and one tour match to convince the National Selection Panel (NSP) that he deserves to be in the eleven for the first Test ahead of Victorian wicketkeeper Mathew Wade.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Haddin is batting in a NSW Vs Queensland fixture on 10 in a team score of 207 for the loss of four wickets. Haddin was nearly run out first ball chasing a dicey single, put down on two at third slip by Chris Lynn off Ryan Harris, and nearly played the same bowler onto his stumps on six.

Harris responded to his ODI dumping by capturing three wickets, including the scalps of Usman Khawaja and Simon Katich, but could have had five had Lynn held on to his chances in the cordon. Lynn also grassed a straightforward opportunity from Hughes, then on four, in just the third over of the game. (ANI)
