New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): The Foreign Minister of People's Republic of China, Yang Jiechi, will embark on a two-day official visit to India beginning tomorrow during which he is expected to hold discussions on issues of bilateral, regional and global significance with the Indian leadership.
Foreign Minister Yang is visiting India as part of the mutually agreed mechanism of annual exchange of visits at the level of Foreign Ministers.
The visiting Foreign Minister will meet External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna during his visit. The two leaders will also hold discussions on the forthcoming BRICS Summit to be held in New Delhi on March 28 and 29.
Jiechi's visit comes in the wake of New Delhi reacting strongly to Beijing's adverse comment on the recent visit of Indian Defence Minister A.K. Antony to Arunachal Pradesh for its silver jubilee statehood day. (ANI)
