Pue/New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday objected to social activist Arvind Kejriwal's statement that Parliament consists of robbers, murders and rapists.
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said such statements were an insult to democracy, parliament and the people.
"If few people have indulged in wrongful activities then it is legitimate to expose it and campaign against it. That is right of people. But to say that everybody is bad, it is an insult to democracy and Parliament," Javadekar told ANI.
Addressing a gathering in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida city on Saturday, Kejriwal had said that all types of elements have entered Parliament, including 'robbers, murderers and rapists'.
He had further said that the Parliament has become the biggest problem of the country and was essential to change its character. (ANI)
