Abu Dhabi, Feb 26 (ANI): Indian parents living in the United Arab Emirated have been asked not to delay the registration of their newborn babies.
Indian couples have been urged to register the newborn children with the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General in Dubai.
According to Gulf News, the Indian Embassy said in a statement that 'the immediate registration of the birth is required to obtain a passport.'
The registration of the newborn children, if not done within a year of their birth, may result in delay in the issuance of a passport due to the involvement of additional necessary formalities and avoidable financial penalties. (ANI)
