Islamabad, Feb 22 (ANI): The Pakistan Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of contempt case against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani till February 28.
Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq submitted documentary evidences against Gilani today, The Nation reports.
A seven-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk was hearing the contempt of court case against Gilani. The Attorney General gave the court details of prosecution's witnesses after he submitted the copies of judicial verdicts as documents.
Gilani's counsel Aitezaz Ahsan said he takes exception to further evidences.
Reports suggest that the court accepted documents submitted on February 16 as evidence of the prosecution, and that the AG had given prosecution documents to Gilani's counsel.
During the hearing, Shahid Orazkzai filed an application stating that the Attorney General could not be appointed prosecutor in every contempt case and it was illegal.
During last hearing, the AG had also submitted evidences against Gilani, comprising previous orders on NRO case, NRO review case and NRO implementation case. (ANI)
