Srinagar, Feb.22 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir's Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has been asked to appear before the State Accountability Commission on March 2 after being accused of using "unfair means" to help his son pass the matriculation examination.
The State Accoutability Commission has asked Sayeed to appear after the Crime Branch of the state police filed a report in which it said there was prima facie evidence to show the involvement of Board and Education Department officials in the scam.
The report also points out that Sayeed's son was helped in more than two subjects in the Class 10 board exams that was conducted in 2009. It also stated that a senior education officer even wrote his Urdu and Maths paper.
The report also reveals that education board officials even facilitated Sayeed's son's migration from one school to another so that a favourable centre could be assigned to him. (ANI)
