Islamabad , Mon, 20 Feb 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Feb 20 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said he would "either be martyred or return as a victor" in the contempt of court case framed against him over the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) issue.

"Those who embrace martyrdom are lucky, and as for now, I don't know what will happen," The Express Tribune quoted Gilani, as saying.

On February 13, Gilani was indicted by the Pakistan Supreme Court on contempt charges for refusing to revive graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Gilani, 59, the first Pakistani Prime Minister to be indicted for contempt by the apex court, pleaded not guilty in the court room.

The court adjourned the hearing till February 27. (ANI)
