Wellington, Feb 19(ANI): The Proteas will look to stop New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill's hot scoring form when they try to level the three-match Twenty20 cricket series in Hamilton.
Guptill scored his sixth consecutive international half-century in the first Twenty20 match, with an unbeaten 78, as the home side took a 1-0 lead in Wellington on Friday night.
South African batsman Justin Ontong has expressed hope that they can get Guptill out early in the next match.
"Guptill really took the attack to us and played some really good shots. At the moment, he's in really good nick, so hopefully we can get our plans in order to stop him," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Ontong, as saying.
The Black Caps' victory has carried forward the momentum they set with their Test victory over Australia in Hobart in December, which was followed up by comprehensively winning a Test match, three one-dayers and two Twenty20's against African minnows, Zimbabwe. (ANI)
