London, Feb 15 (ANI): Cheryl Cole, whose former protegee Cher Lloyd accused her of not singing live during her performances, has hit back at the girl she once dubbed her "mini-me".
The 28-year-old singer took to Twitter to hit back at the girl she once mentored.
"Be Careful who you kick on your way up... They kick you twice as hard on your way back down," the Daily Mail quoted her as tweeting.
"Unappreciation is ugly," she said.
The scathing tweet came after the 'Swagger Jagger' singer appeared to make fun of Cole during an interview on the 'Real Breakfast' for Real Radio North West show.
Asked if she would ever perform with Cole, Lloyd replied "maybe if she sings live with me!"
She was then asked if she thought the prospect of singing live would be a difficult one for the '3 Words' hitmaker.
"Well it is nowadays, when you haven't got the nifty little button to press!" Lloyd said.
The presenter of the show asked her if she meant that the axed 'The X Factor' judge was relying on autotune, to which the teen laughed "What, oh no? Never, never ever!"
Cole famously caused controversy when she appeared to be singing over a pre-recorded backing track as she performed 'Fight For This Love' on 'The X Factor' back in 2009.
Lloyd's comments come after an interview with Fabulous magazine last weekend when she said she has not kept in touch with Cole during her time on 'The X Factor'. (ANI)
