New Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): Strongly condemning the explosion that took place in a car belonging to the Israeli embassy, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Monday said the law of the land will take its own course and the culprits will be brought to justice at the earliest.
Krishna said that he spoke to his Israeli counterpart following the unfortunate incident and assured him that he would keep him posted on the progress in the probe.
"India very strongly condemns such incidents and it is going to be fully investigated and the culprits will be brought to justice at the earliest. I have just spoken to the Israeli Foreign Minister and I have re-assured the Israeli Foreign Minister that the law of the land will take its course and the investigation has already started and we will continue with it and then keep him posted as and when we get progress report of the investigation," he told the media here.
Krishna further said one of the staff members of the Israeli establishment in Delhi, who has been injured in the incident, is being treated at a city hospital.
"We have just received information about an unfortunate incident that took place a little while earlier in which incident a staff member's family of the Israeli establishment in Delhi has been injured. She has been rushed into the hospital and we are awaiting further information about the well being of the victim," he said.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police Commissioner BK Gupta said that four people have been injured in the blast.
"The damage is on the rear. Bike borne attacker are behind it. Three person have superficial injury. But the lady is seriously injured. They were going to pick up their children when the blast occurred. The statement of the lady victim could not be taken."
Gupta said that the Special Cell of the Delhi police will conduct the investigation.It may have been some kind of magnetic device which was used to trigger the blast. here was a mild explosion and car got fire," he said.
Delhi Police immediately stepped up security around the city following the incident. (ANI)

The condemnation should have come from our prime minister and not just from the External Affairs Minister. How would India react had we been on the receiving end in Israel or somewhere else? I hope the people behind this are apprehended and brought to justice.
