New Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): Defence Minister A.K. Antony left on a two visit to Saudi Arabia on Monday. This is the first ever visit by an Indian Defence Minister to Riyadh.
Antony will be accompanied by a high level delegation including the Defence Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma, Vice-Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen SK Singh, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Satish Soni and Air Vice Marshal MR Pawar.
Antony will hold discussions with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Salman-bin-Abdul Aziz Al-Saud in Riyadh, besides meeting other senior leaders.
He will also interact with representatives of Indian community in Saudi Arabia during his visit.
The visit is anticipated to further expand bilateral cooperation in defence, trade and regional affairs.
Current defence cooperation between the two countries include training exchanges, ship visits and high level visits.
Saudi Arabia is one of the largest suppliers of oil to India, which is one of the top trading partners and investor there. (ANI)
