Baramulla, Feb 12 (ANI): Kashmir's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), chief Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday visited family members of 22-year-old Ashiq Hussain Rather, who was shot by security forces in Baramulla District on Saturday. hile speaking to reporters after meeting the family of Rather, Mufti said: "A child was killed yesterday, the police baton charged people and tear gas was fired on them. Obviously people are angry."
Mufti lashed out at Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah saying incidents like these are forgotten once resentment of the people towards the state government cools down.
"It has become a routine to order inquiry and to register a FIR. The chief minister makes big statement as he did in Banihal. Nothing happens after people's anger cools down," added Mehbooba.
Angry people of Lasser village claimed that Rather was killed by the army 'without provocation'.
The army, however, said the youth was killed due to accidental firing.he police have registered the case and investigation has been set in motion. hief Minister Omar Abdullah has also ordered for a magisterial enquiry into the incident. (ANI)
