Islamabad, Feb 11 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has accused Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani of putting the whole system at risk to save a corrupt President, Asif Ali Zardari.
Imran said that government had caused a loss of 8.5 trillion rupees during the last four years.
He further said that government should release poor people imprisoned for theft as the robbery of President Asif Zardari was even bigger than the collective amount of the poor prisoner's theft. He alleged that Zardari robbed the country of five billion rupees, The Nation reports.
Imran said that all the government allies including Nawaz Sharif was the part of this corruption.
"How could the politicians having their assets outside the country work for the prosperity of the country," he added.
The Pakistan Supreme Court (SC) has already rejected Gilani's Intra Court Appeal against the verdict of a smaller bench for framing charges of contempt of court against him. Gilani will now have to appear before the Supreme Court on February 13 for contempt proceedings, The News reports. (ANI)
