London, Feb 9 (ANI): Lee Hughes, is to stand trial over charges of molesting a woman in his team's hotel.
The ex-West Brom striker denied the alleged sex attack the night before his current club, League One Notts County, played non-league Sutton United in the FA Cup in December.
The 35-year-old former Premier League ace was arrested at the Aerodrome Hotel in Croydon, South London, and taken into custody before being released on bail, the Sun reported.
At Croydon Magistrates' Court he denied one charge of sexual assault and requested a Crown Court trial.
He has been bailed to return there on March 21 before the case is committed to Crown Court.
Hughes, of Nottingham, refused to comment as he left court. (ANI)
