Posh 'working round the clock' as A-listers request Oscars gowns

London, Feb 9 (ANI): Singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham has reportedly been bombarded with requests from Hollywood's most famous actresses who want her to dress them for the Oscars.

The 37-year-old former Spice Girls member is now aid to be working round the clock in the run up to the glamorous event, which will be held later this month.

Actresses including Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron and Cameron Diaz are among those reported to be keen to wear one of her designs on the red carpet for Tinseltown's biggest night.

A source close to footballer David Beckham's wife confirmed that Posh's atelier had indeed received requests for Oscars gowns that they were working hard to fulfil, but was far too discreet to name names.

"We do have requests in from stylists for the Oscars, but as our team is so small we don't have the opportunity to custom make dresses like the bigger fashion houses," the Daily Mail quoted a spokesman for Posh as saying.

"Nor do we have the big budgets to pay people to endorse our brand, so it's really a waiting game and we won't know until the night if any of our dresses will be worn," he said.

Her designs are frequently worn by some of the biggest international stars, including Cameron Diaz, as well as Drew Barrymore, Blake Lively, Mary J Blige and Elle Macpherson.

Further cementing Posh's role as go-to designer for the stars, Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams chose a Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress for a nominees lunch earlier this week.

Victoria's former Spice Girls bandmates have also shown their support and have been spotted many times wearing her designs. (ANI)
