'The Wanted' and 'TOWIE' stars join Gary Lineker in new Walkers campaign

London, Feb 9 (ANI): Gary Lineker, who has long been known as the face of Walkers crisps, has now been joined by boyband 'The Wanted' and some familiar faces from Essex to front the brand's latest campaign.

The pop stars, along with 'TOWIE' stars Joey Essex and Chloe Sims, are helping to promote Walkers' "What's That Flavour".

The advert, which will hit small screens this Friday, is hoping to encourage the great British public to guess what the three new flavours of potato chips are.

Fans of hit reality show 'TOWIE' will get to see the two stars ponder the mystery flavours while enjoying a pampering session, which also includes Essex getting a trademark spray tan.

For those who love 'The Wanted' will get the chance to see Max, Jay, Siva, Tom and Nathan rehearsing in the studio, with a surprise sixth member in the form of the 51-year-old footballer.

The guys enjoy a game of pool while trying out mystery flavours A, B and C and then trying to guess what they are.

"The three mystery flavours have been designed to spark a national flavour conversation and I think the new advert encourages just that," the Daily Mail quoted Lineker as saying.

"It's been hilarious hearing everyone else's guesses and it's been great getting a helping hand from some familiar faces," he said.

The campaign, which started on January 23, is challenging members of the public to guess the three mystery flavours from Walkers, and will result in three lucky winners walking away with the tasty sum of 50,000 pounds each.

The campaign has already received 72,000 entries with people guessing a variety of weird and wonderful flavour suggestions.

"We're very excited about the new ad in which we see the Great British public, accompanied by some famous faces, taking part in the new campaign," Miranda Sambles, Marketing Director for Walkers, said.

"If you think you might know what the mystery flavours are, just visit www.walkers.co.uk or Facebook.com/walkers to submit a guess and see the flavours the nation have come up with.

"Hundreds of thousands of guesses are expected so there's no time like the present to try and figure out," she added.

Entries will close at midnight on March 9 when the three mystery flavours will be revealed to the nation. (ANI)
