Kufri, Feb 8 (ANI): The business of outdoors photographers in Himachal Pradesh's Kufri region is growing due to the increased influx of tourists, who throng the hilly locales for vacations after the heavy snowfall in the state.
The snow clad hill towns not only add to the beauty of the state, but also benefit photographers, as tourists love to wear traditional dresses and get their pictures clicked.
The photographers said that besides earning money, they are able to promote the state's culture.
"We outdoor photographers here are earning and promoting the culture of Himachal Pradesh. This year we are expecting our season in snow will remain till March-April. We are nearly 75 photographers doing this business here. The snow is adding beauty to our pictures numbers of tourists are coming here," said Inder Singh Verma, an outdoor photographer.
"We are expecting good business. One photographer earns nearly 20,000 rupees in a month," he added.
"It is nice to come so far and get ourselves photographed in the cultural dress of the state. These are the memories, which we will always cherish," said Shweta, a tourist from Delhi.
The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh have seen heavy snowfall over the last month with some districts receiving up to 90 centimetres of snow. By Hemant Chauhan (ANI)
