Kunming (China), Feb 7 (ANI): India and China are making steady progress on the complicated boundary issue, said visiting External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Tuesday.
Describing the boundary question as complicated, Krishna said: "We have a mechanism put in place to work out an amicable settlement on the boundary issue. You all are aware that the boundary issue is one of the most complex issues and the boundary is far too long between India and China. So, I think that is going on in its own steam and the fifteenth round has been completed and I am sure that they must have made some progress."
"It would not be realistic to make any spectacular expectations, it is a time consuming process. All of us must realize that we don't have be in hurry to rush," he added.
Asked for his comments on the reported mistreatment of Indian businessmen visiting China for purposes of trade, Krishna said: "Well, any issue that affects the bilateral relationship will be taken up with foreign minister and other leaders that I am going to meet." By Naveen Kapoor (ANI)
