Ahmedabad, Feb.6 (ANI): The Gujarat High Court on Monday rejected an application by Jagriti Pandya that sought a reinvestigation into the 2003 Haren Pandya murder case.
Jagriti Pandya is the widow of former Gujarat Home Minsiter Haren Pandya.
The Gujarat High Court on January 19 directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the state government to file replies to a petition seeking re-investigations of murder of Haren Pandya.
The court had said that petition filed by Pandya's wife, Jagriti, would be heard from February 6, and the CBI as well as the state should file replies by then.
Jagruti filed the petition last September, after a division bench dropped murder charges against 12 convicts in the case and criticised the investigation by CBI, calling it 'botched up' and 'blinkered'.
Both CBI and the government have challenged the verdict in the Supreme Court.
Pandya, a former state BJP minister, was shot dead on March 26, 2003, near Law Garden area in Ahmedabad while out on a morning walk. (ANI)
