Madonna sets stage on fire with Super Bowl performance

Washington, Feb 6 (ANI): Madonna delivered a spectacular show at Half Time at the Super Bowl on Sunday, as she wowed the audience with her fiery performance.

It started with her being escorted to the stage at Indianapolis's Lucas Oil Stadium by an army of gladiators. With a diamond-studded gold crown, Madonna, 53, launched into her hit 'Vogue' as the stage flashed covers of the iconic fashion magazine.

She performed her 2000 dance jam 'Music' and was joined on stage by LMFAO's Stefan and Skyler Gordy. Together the three of them sang samples from the hits 'Party Rock Anthem' and 'Sexy and I Know It'.

Then, on a flashy and glittering stage, Madonna performed her new single, 'Give Me All Your Luvin', with Nicki Minaj and MIA, in cheerleading uniforms, who are also featured on the song.

MIA also grabbed eyeballs as she gave the finger during her solo, People magazine reported.

The finale of the 12-minute performance was classic Madonna. With a hand from Cee Lo Green, she swapped her gladiator queen assemble for a glittering black robe to sing her 1989 hit, 'Like a Prayer', which she opened with samplings of 'Open Your Heart' and 'Express Yourself'.

The performance ended with the stage bursting into a cloud of smoke as the singer belted out the final note out of sight and the final message of the show "World Peace" was illuminated on the stage.

The Material Girl had earlier spoken of her nerves leading up to the game day.

"I'm going to come in halfway between the church experience, and I'm going to have to deliver a sermon that's going to have to be very impactful," she had said.

"I have to put on the greatest show on earth in the middle of the greatest show on earth," she added. (ANI)
