London, Feb 4 (ANI): Joey Barton surprised shoppers when he splashed out 70 pounds on EuroMillions draw, on Friday.
The 29-year-old captain of Queens Park Rangers had gone to a newsagent with teammate Jamie Mackie, 26, for papers and sweets but also bought 35 Lucky Dips for the 38 million pounds jackpot.
"Joey put down a pile of notes and asked how many tickets it would buy," the Sun quoted a witness as saying.
"Jamie was laughing as they waited for the tickets to print out. Joey was chatty and polite. You'd think he wouldn't need the lottery," the source added. (ANI)
