London, Feb 4 (ANI): Under pressure Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has said he is working hard to get better and is thankful towards the fans for backing him up during the torrid time he faced at the start of the season.
The Spanish striker has not hit the target in the Premier League since September 24 when he netted and was then sent off against Swansea City.
"I'm trying to get better. Sometimes you must work hard. I'll keep doing that and hopefully lift a cup here," The Sun quoted Torres, as saying.
"The start of the season was one of the hardest moments of my career. But the fans got behind me and they've given me something to fight for," he added.
Torres is in contention to play against Manchester United in their Premier League encounter on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. (ANI)
