Dubai, Feb 4(ANI): England bowler James Anderson has said there is no shortage of confidence among the batters despite another nervous display in the third and final Test against Pakistan being played here.
"All our guys are confident - but they're probably just not spending the time at the crease they would like. Pakistan are bowling some really good balls to get us out," the BBC quoted Anderson, as saying.
"It was probably a good day to be watching, but a pretty nerve-wracking one for the players. It's going to be a really tight match," he added.
Anderson was commenting after England bowled out Pakistan for 99 and then struggled to reach 104-6 at the close of play on the first day of the Test.
England is trying to avoid a 3-0 series whitewash and was dealt a severe blow when Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul removed Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott in successive overs.
"We were delighted with the start we got with the ball, and the way we kept creating pressure throughout the innings. Unfortunately, we didn't get off to a great start with the bat - and it looks like it's going to be a battle for the next few days," Anderson said. (ANI)
