Ex US Marine tells all about sex antics of Hollywood elite in new book

London, Jan 31 (ANI): A former US Marine has revealed in his new book that he ran a clandestine prostitution ring for gay and bisexual male movie stars in the 1940s, and arranged sexual liaisons for leading actresses.

Scotty Bowers, now aged 88, is unveiling what he claims were the antics of the Hollywood elite including Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, Vivien Leigh, Katharine Hepburn and even the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

He claims that he set up Hepburn with "over 150 different women" and other stories in his memoir relate to Spencer Tracy and Cole Porter.

"I've kept silent all these years because I didn't want to hurt any of these people," the Telegraph quoted Bowers as telling New York Times.

"And I never saw the fascination. So they liked sex how they liked it. Who cares?

"I finally said yes because I'm not getting any younger and all of my famous tricks are dead by now.

"The truth can't hurt them anymore," he said.

Bowers' story will be told in a book called 'Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars', which is to be published on Feb 14 by Grove Press.

Through the book Bowers will describe how, after serving in the Second World War, he arrived in Hollywood and began work at a petrol station.

He claims that in 1946 the actor Walter Pidgeon, star of the Oscar winning film 'Mrs Miniver', propositioned him with a 20-dollar tip.

He said that he went on to have encounters with other film industry insiders while working as a barman and handyman.

Bowers also claims to have set up liaisons between heterosexual actors, including Lucille Ball's husband Desi Arnaz, and women.

He said he never took payment for doing so, as he was "not a pimp."

"I think I never got caught partly because I kept everything in my head.

"There was no little black book," he added.

The estates of Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn declined to comment. (ANI)
