Karachi, Jan 30(ANI): Renowned Indian classical flute maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia enthralled music-lovers at a concert organized to commemorate India's 63rd Republic Day in Karachi.
The concert was organized at a local hotel by the High Commission of India and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, The Dawn reports.
Chaurasia presented a composition in nine-matra (madh taal), which is reckoned a tough, rare beat cycle.
He also played the bansuri with verve and the teevra notes followed by raga Bhopali and a thumri on public demand.
Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal highlighted that both India and Pakistan shared the common tradition of music, which knows no boundaries. (ANI)
