Sydney, Jan 23(ANI): Young Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has been dropped from the Australian Test team which will play against India in the final Test match in Adelaide.
Off spinner Nathan Lyon will replace Starc in the playing eleven, whereas Starc would be the 12th man.
Starc is expected to be released from the Australian squad to play for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash final against the Perth Scorchers at the WACA in Perth.
Captain Michael Clarke told reporters in Adelaide that they are anticipating his experienced fast bowlers to play a major role in completing a series whitewash over India.
"We think that is the best XI to give us every chance to win this Test match. I think the experience of the other three quicks will play a big part in these conditions," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Clarke, as saying.
Clarke believes that reverse swing is going to be an important factor in the final Test match in Adelaide.
"The wicket looks really good and I think reverse swing is going to play a huge part in this Test match," he added.
Meanwhile India is yet to announce its Test team for the final Test match but will be without captain Mahendar Singh Dhoni who has been banned for one Test match because of his side's slow over rate.
