Chennai, Jan 22 (ANI): Motorbike experts from USA and UK participated in a three-day motorbike training session, and imparted training to motorbike enthusiasts in Chennai city.

Experts on Friday, gave bike handling and racing tips to the young motorbike enthusiasts at the Madras Motor Sports Club.

T. T. Siddharth, one of the organisers, told mediapersons that the aim of the training session was to mobilize young motorbike enthusiasts with professional coaching which would help them set their mark at international events.

"India has a lot of talented riders but today there is no professional coaching or track time available in India which is why you see most of our national champions not doing so well at international levels. So, the larger objective of the Chennai school is discovery, mobilization and training of talented youngsters," said Siddharth.

World Superbike protagonists Leon Camier and Austin DeHaven were the part of the training team to help talented and avid motorbike enthusiasts.

"The run at this circuit is pretty good. The track is pretty different. It is quite bumpy and there has been some fast performance. So, yes it is a good fun track," said Camier.

Camier is the 2009 British Superbike champion and one of the top bikers in the world.

The idea behind the training session was to set up a platform for young motor biking enthusiasts get access to world-class facilities.

"We can't even imagine this being in India we never expected Indian racing to go this forward. So, after the training we got much more power," said Prithvi K, an Indian biker.

The three day long session would provide students with the most effective progression of skill sets devised for learning the technique of safe riding and cornering. (ANI)
